Herdy View Lodge is situated in Yanwath, close to Lake Ullswater in the Northern Lakes. It can be used as an excellent base for exploring the less touristy region of the Lake District as well as the beutiful untouched Eden Valley. The popular market town of Penrith is close for your local amenities whilst the other tourist hotspots such as Keswick and Windermere are in easy reach. In the immediate area surrounding Herdy View Lodge there is plenty to do, you can ride the steamers on Lake Ullswater, walk or mountain bike the Eastern Hills, enjoy afternoon tea in the beautiful village of Askham or simply enjoy local food and loacl ales by log fires in the many country pubs.
